Religious Education


Our religious education program has several components
    

Classes for children and youth from K2 to Grade 8 Sundays at 11 a.m.
    
Classes for preparation to receive the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Penance Sundays at 11 a.m.
   
    
Individual or small group instruction for older children who are preparing for the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Penance Scheduled on an individual basis
   
    

   

Parent and family involvement are
key elements of the program
    

Family classes in the home Scheduled upon request
     
Parent workshops
   -- Share with parents the content of the classes
   -- Encourage family activities in the home
   -- Reinforce what is taught in the classroom

Parent meetings
For parents whose children will be receiving the sacraments of First Holy Communion, First Penance, Confirmation, or Baptism
A series of meetings -- schedule is provided to parents
    
   

Special activities related to the Church's liturgical year and social and cultural activities and projects are also integrated components of our program. They include events such as All Saints Party, participation in the parish Thanksgiving celebration, Christmas pageant, international celebration, May crowning, etc.
