PREPARING FOR THE REVISED ROMAN MISSAL: As we know, there will be changes in the text, beginning the first Sunday of Advent. Over the last month and a half, we have had four attachments, this being our fifth. (If you missed these, please see the table in the back of the church for the up-dates.) Though some of the words are changing, the flow of the Mass is not changing. It will still take place in four parts:  Introductory Rites, Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist, and Concluding Rites  Today, we will focus on the Liturgy of the Word, which includes the First Reading, Responsorial Psalm, Second Reading, Gospel, Homily, Creed, and General Intercessions/Prayers of the Faithful.  Except for the Creed, there are very few changes in the Liturgy of the Word.
See attachment for specific changes in the Creed.

PETITION DRIVE FOR ASSISTED SUICIDE:  Supporters of this bill will be trying to gather 68, 911 signatures. This is the first step in putting this measure on the ballot in November 2012.  The position of the Church is that all suicide is a tragedy.  As stated by Cardinal Sean: “A vote for assisted suicide is a vote for suicide.” Please consider Church teaching if asked to sign this petition.

LIFT:  “GET A LIFE”,  a series for youth and young adults that consist of praise and worship, dynamic speakers, adoration, an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation to be held on November 8th at Fontbonne Academy and December 2nd at the Holy Cross Cathedral from 7-9PM.

WINDOWS: With the beginning of the cooler weather, the custodian has been asked not to open all the windows. As each person’s preference is different, we ask that if you, yourself, are warm that you only open a few windows near your seat.  Also, when the temperature reaches a certain low, the heat will “kick in” which we cannot afford at this time. Thank you.
