Aug. 5, 2007	18th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“God, come to my help. Lord do not be long in coming.” Psalm 69 “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts. May the gracious care of the Lord our God be ours; prosper the work of our hands.” Psalm 90 “…you were raised with Christ, seek what is above….” Colossians 3:1-11 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3 “You gave us bread from heaven, Lord; a sweet-tasting bread that was very good to eat.” Wisdom 16:20 The gifts of God are indeed “amazing”, “wondrous”, “life-giving”, “love-filled”. In Jesus God gives us God. Our God is an “Awesome God”. We rejoice. We are glad to be alive. Let us continue to tell Jesus’ Good News: “I am with you always.”
